Who we are · the team

A growing team. A shared practice.

Participatory Art is a growing team of producers, dramaturgs, technicians, performers and builders. We bring different crafts and a shared history of making worlds together, across years and countries. That experience matters: knowing what each of us brings, trusting one another’s judgement, and finding our feet together when the work begins. Each person who joins adds new possibilities to what we can make. The open seats below are invitations to build the team with us. Their names are fictional for now, little portraits of the craft each person will bring. We look forward to replacing them with yours.

    Frank Impossible

    Executive producer

The person who hears “that cannot be done” and starts working out the budget. Makes room for the ambitious version.

  4. 04 · Team

    Billie Backstory

    Dramaturg

Knows what happened before the audience arrived, and why a tiny choice in the first scene should matter in the last.

  5. 05 · Team

    Kit Failsafe

    Technical director

Makes the impossible work twice. Then builds the quiet backup that lets everyone else take a risk.

  6. 06 · Team

    Alma Elsewhere

    Scenographer

Can turn a room into somewhere you remember having been, even when that place has never existed.

  7. 07 · Team

    Ada Whatif

Builds characters that listen, remember and leave room for the unexpected. As curious about people as about models.

  8. 08 · Team

    Sam Welcome

    Service designer

Thinks about the person who nearly did not come. Makes every threshold, from the first invitation to the way home, feel considered.

  9. 09 · Team

    Echo Understory

    Sound designer & composer

Knows a room can change before anyone sees a thing. Gives the world a pulse, and knows when to leave it silent.

  10. 10 · Team

    Robin Oncue

Keeps a hundred moving parts in time without making the room feel hurried. Knows whose next five minutes need protecting.

The team grows through the people we meet and the work we make together. If you work freelance in participatory formats — direction, dramaturgy, scenography, sound, code, production — and you want to build worlds rather than deliver a scope, write to us. We read everything.
